Let's Talk Turquoise

Blue Goose Mine

These deposits were also known by the name Jimmy Allen, a miner who was told about these deposits by a sheepherder in 1933. This turquoise mine is located at the south end of Hot Springs Point, six miles south of Bald Mountain in Lander County, and is still an active mining area.
